Donna's Pansies — Original (Artist's Collection)

Named in honor of my mother, Donna.

Pansies in plum and violet, butter yellow, and the softest cream — gathered loosely, the way a handful carried in from the garden actually looks. Some paintings are simply paintings. This one is a small act of remembering, and it carries her name.

Painted in watercolor and colored pencil on Arches 300gsm hot press paper, signed in sepia ink in the lower right corner.
